Jim and Madelyn’s Classic Stuffing is a timeless and beloved side dish that’s perfect for holiday feasts and special occasions. This recipe combines simple yet flavorful ingredients to create a delicious stuffing that pairs beautifully with roast turkey, chicken, or as a complement to a variety of main dishes.
Ingredients
- 2 (20-oz.) Loaves of Bread
- 1 stalk Celery
- 4 large Onions
- 2 sticks Margarine
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp M-K Granulated Black Pepper
- 5 tbsp M-K Poultry Seasoning
- 2 qt Chicken Broth
Directions
- Begin by breaking the bread into pieces and setting it aside.
- Chop the celery and onions and sauté them in margarine until they become tender.
- Heat the chicken broth separately.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the broken bread with salt, M-K Granulated Black Pepper, and M-K Poultry Seasoning. Mix these ingredients thoroughly.
- Add the sautéed celery and onions to the bread mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the hot chicken broth to the mixture, one cup at a time, until the stuffing is moistened to your desired consistency. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake the stuffing at 325°F for approximately one hour, or until it is heated through and has developed a nice golden-brown crust.
