Swedish Apple Soup

Ingredients
- 1 qt. Tart Apples, chopped
- 3 c. Water
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp. M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3/8 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. M-K Ground Cinnamon
- 1 dash M-K Ground Cloves
- 1 1/2 T. Flour
- 1/2 c. Water
- 2 T. Lemon Juice
- 2 T. Butter or Margarine
Directions
- n a large pot, cook the chopped tart apples in 3 cups of water until they are soft.
- Push the cooked apples and their liquid through a sieve, or puree them in a blender.
- Return the apple puree to the pot and add sugar, salt, and M-K Spices. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour and the 1/2 cup of water to create a smooth paste.
- Gradually stir this flour mixture into the hot apple puree, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Add the lemon juice to the pot and let the soup simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Lastly, stir in the butter or margarine until melted and fully incorporated.
- Serve the soup warm, ideally with cinnamon toast on the side.
