  1. Cream together the brown sugar and shortening in a large bowl.
  2. Add in the beaten egg, light molasses, and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract. Beat until the mixture becomes fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, M-K Ground Cinnamon, M-K Ground Ginger, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the creamed mixture, stirring well to combine.
  5. Refrigerate the cookie dough for easier handling.
  6. Once chilled, shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Dip one side of each ball into the M-K Cinnamon Sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls, sugared side up, onto an ungreased cookie sheet, ensuring they’re spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
  9. Once baked, transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
