Molasses Crinkles

Ingredients
- 1 c. Brown Sugar, packed
- 3/4 c. Shortening
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. Light Molasses
- 1 tsp. M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 c. All Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. M-K Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. M-K Ground Ginger
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- M-K Cinnamon Sugar (for dipping)
Directions
- Cream together the brown sugar and shortening in a large bowl.
- Add in the beaten egg, light molasses, and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract. Beat until the mixture becomes fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, M-K Ground Cinnamon, M-K Ground Ginger, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the creamed mixture, stirring well to combine.
- Refrigerate the cookie dough for easier handling.
- Once chilled, shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Dip one side of each ball into the M-K Cinnamon Sugar.
- Place the dough balls, sugared side up, onto an ungreased cookie sheet, ensuring they’re spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Once baked, transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
