Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Prepared Mustard
- 4 2/3 cups Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Salt
- 3 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 tablespoons M-K Whole Mustard Seed
- 1/2 teaspoon M-K Ground Turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon M-K Whole Cloves
- 3 tablespoons M-K Whole Celery Seed
- 1 teaspoon M-K Whole Peppercorns
- 4 pounds Onion, quartered
- 2 cups Carrots, sliced
- 2 cups Cauliflower florets
- 2 cups Green and Red Peppers, chopped
- 2 cups Celery, chopped
Directions
- Begin by blending the prepared mustard with a little vinegar in a large saucepan.
- Add the remaining vinegar, salt, sugar, and all the M-K spices (Whole Mustard Seed, Ground Turmeric, Whole Cloves, Whole Celery Seed, and Whole Peppercorns) to the saucepan with the mustard mixture.
- Cover the saucepan and heat the mixture until it comes to a boil.
- Add the prepared vegetables: onions, carrots, cauliflower florets, chopped green and red peppers, and chopped celery to the boiling mixture.
- Cover the saucepan again and bring it to a boil. Then, simmer the mixture while you prepare your canning jars.
- Pack the hot pickled vegetables into hot jars.
