Macaroni Salad Special

Ingredients
- 7 c. Baby Shell Macaroni, uncooked
- 1/2 c. Vinegar
- 3 T. M-K Whole Celery Seed
- 1 tsp. M-K Granulated Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 c. Sugar
- 3 c. Red Onion, chopped
- 2 1/2 gal. Cabbage, shredded (equivalent to 40 cups)
- 4 lg. Sweet Peppers, chopped
- 8 med. Carrots, finely shredded
- 1 qt. Mayonnaise
Directions
- Cook the baby shell macaroni according to the package instructions.
- Once cooked, blanch the macaroni and set it aside to cool.
- In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, M-K Whole Celery Seed, M-K Granulated Black Pepper, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped red onion, shredded cabbage, chopped sweet peppers, finely shredded carrots, and the blanched macaroni.
- Pour the vinegar mixture over the combined vegetables and macaroni.
- Add the mayonnaise to the bowl and toss everything well until fully combined.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for a minimum of 30 minutes before serving.
