Ingredients
- 2 c. Powdered Sugar
- 2 T. Butter, softened
- 2 T. Water
- 3-4 T. Lemon Juice, adjust to taste
- 1 tsp. M-K Lemon True Extract
- 1 tsp. M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
Directions
- In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the powdered sugar and softened butter until smooth and well combined.
- Gradually add in the water, mixing consistently to maintain a smooth texture.
- Stir in the lemon juice, starting with 3 tablespoons and adding more if desired for extra tartness.
- Blend in the M-K Lemon True Extract and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract until fully combined.
- Once the cake is baked and while it is still warm, poke holes in it using a fork or skewer. This will allow the icing to seep into the cake, making it moist and flavorful.
- Pour and spread the icing evenly over the warm cake. Allow the icing to set, and the cake to cool completely before serving.
