Fruit Krunch

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. All-Purpose Flour
  • 6 T. Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. Quick Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 tsp. M-K Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. M-K Ground Nutmeg
  • 4 c. Fresh or Frozen Fruit (such as apples, berries, peaches, or a combination)
  • Sugar (to taste, depending on the sweetness of your chosen fruit)
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Directions

  1. Preparation: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°.
  2. Make the Topping: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and margarine, mixing until it forms a crumbly texture. Add in the brown sugar, quick rolled oats, M-K Ground Cinnamon, and M-K Ground Nutmeg. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.
  3. Prepare the Fruit: In a separate bowl, toss your chosen fruit with sugar, adjusting the amount of sugar based on the natural sweetness of the fruit and your personal preference.
  4. Assemble: Transfer the sugared fruit into a 9-inch square baking dish. Spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the prepared topping mixture over the fruit, ensuring an even distribution.
  5. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes. The topping should become golden brown, and the fruit should be tender and bubbly.
  6. Serving: Once baked, allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
