  1. In a saucepan, combine the vegetable oil, cider vinegar, salt, egg, and M-K spices. Heat the mixture until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour the heated barbecue sauce over them.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate for an hour. If the chicken isn’t fully submerged in the sauce, turn the pieces a few times to ensure even coating.
  4. In a heavy skillet, heat 2 T. of vegetable oil until it bubbles but isn’t smoking.
  5. Drain the marinated chicken and brown each piece in the hot skillet.
  6. Transfer the browned chicken pieces to a baking pan and baste with the remaining marinade.
  7. Bake in a preheated 350° oven, basting and turning occasionally, for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until fully cooked.
