Almond Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. M-K Almond Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/2 c. All Purpose Flour

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine, sugar, and M-K Almond Extract until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing continuously until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a cloth and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour to chill.
  5. Once chilled, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Form the dough into balls about the size of a walnut and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly using your fingers.
  8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 12 minutes, or until they are slightly golden brown around the edges.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
