Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 c. Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 tsp. M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3 c. Oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c. All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Soda

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the vegetable shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, water, and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract until creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, salt, and soda.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well.
  5. Drop the cookie dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
  7. Makes about 60 cookies.
