  1. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the powdered sugar and softened butter until smooth and well combined.
  2. Gradually add in the water, mixing consistently to maintain a smooth texture.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, starting with 3 tablespoons and adding more if desired for extra tartness.
  4. Blend in the M-K Lemon True Extract and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract until fully combined.
  5. Once the cake is baked and while it is still warm, poke holes in it using a fork or skewer. This will allow the icing to seep into the cake, making it moist and flavorful.
  6. Pour and spread the icing evenly over the warm cake. Allow the icing to set, and the cake to cool completely before serving.
