Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 2 tsp M-K Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Hot Water
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add beaten egg and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract, then beat well.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients and milk.
  4. Spread half of the batter in a greased, floured loaf pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, M-K Ground Cinnamon, flour, and hot water to create a cinnamon mixture.
  6. Drizzle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped pecans over the batter.
  8. Repeat the process by adding the remaining batter.
  9. Drizzle the rest of the cinnamon mixture over the second layer of batter.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining chopped pecans on top.
  11. Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes.
